Hospitality Marketing Intelligence

Your numbers look fine. But are they actually competitive?

A 4.2x ROAS sounds strong.
But is it above or below your market?

Summit Intelligence Benchmarking compares your hotel's marketing performance, channel investment, and efficiency metrics against a peer set built specifically for properties like yours - by market, size, and segment.

Summit Intelligence Channel Benchmarks dashboard showing a heatmap matrix of Paid Search, Metasearch, Display, Social, and Email performance versus a 42-hotel peer set.
01 The problem

Most hotel reporting only tells you half the story.

Your agency report tells you what your campaigns did. Your platform dashboards tell you what you spent. Your analytics tell you what converted. What none of them tell you is whether any of it is actually competitive.

  • Agency reportWhat your campaigns did.
  • Platform dashboardsWhat you spent.
  • AnalyticsWhat converted.
  • None of themWhether any of it is competitive.

A 4.2x ROAS sounds strong. But without market context, you're navigating without a map.

That's the gap Benchmarking closes. Not more data - market context for the data you already have.

02 What Benchmarking does

From isolated metrics to
market-relative intelligence.

Benchmarking gives you a clear view of where your hotel stands across the performance and investment metrics that actually matter - compared to properties that actually resemble yours.

F1 · Channel Performance Benchmarking
Peer cohort · you = P68

Every channel, compared to peers.

See how your Paid Search, Metasearch, Display, Social, and Email performance compares to peer hotels across revenue, ROAS, conversions, cost per booking, and impression share. Know immediately which channels are outperforming the market and which are lagging behind.

F2 · Customizable Peer Sets

Room count
Property type
Star rating
Segment

Not a generic industry average.

You define your peer cohort by market, room count, property type, star rating, and segment - so the comparison reflects hotels that actually operate in the same environment you do. Quick presets get you started instantly. Advanced filters let you go deeper.

F3 · Heatmap Performance View

Display

The full picture, at a glance.

See your full channel and metric performance in a single heatmap matrix - instantly spotting where you're above peers, at peers, or trailing behind across every key indicator at once. No toggling between reports. No stitching together numbers.

F4 · Channel-Level Insight Cards
Paid SearchOutperforming · +18%
MetasearchIn line · ±2%
DisplayLagging · −11%

Plain-language comparison, per channel.

For each channel, Benchmarking surfaces a direct comparison: your number, the peer median, and the gap - in plain language. Paid Search is outperforming. Metasearch is in line. Display is lagging. Know where to focus before you open a single platform dashboard.

Share benchmark results with ownership, asset managers, or management company leadership in a format built for executive review, not internal analyst consumption.

03 The peer set

Generic benchmarks don't work for hotels. Ours are built differently.

Hospitality marketing doesn't look like retail marketing. Or financial services. Hotel performance is shaped by occupancy pacing, need periods, booking windows, OTA competition, and seasonality that no generic advertiser benchmark accounts for.

Summit Intelligence benchmarks are built exclusively from hospitality marketing data - normalized by property type, room count, market tier, and segment.

04 The network

You're not just accessing a benchmark. You're helping build one.

Benchmarking is powered by anonymized, aggregated marketing data contributed by participating hotels across the hospitality industry. Every property that joins the network makes the peer cohorts more accurate, more segmented, and more useful - for everyone participating.

The more hotels in your peer cohort, the more precise the comparison. The more markets represented, the sharper the normalization. This is not a static report. It's a continuously improving benchmark network - and the hotels joining now are the ones shaping what it looks like.

"The Summit Intelligence network becomes smarter as more hospitality data enters the ecosystem."
— Lisa McGivney, Vice President of Marketing
05 Methodology and trust

Transparent enough to trust.
Specific enough to act on.

Every comparison comes with context - why it looks the way it does, what's contributing to it, and what it means for your property. Your property-level data is never individually visible in the benchmark.

Transparent benchmark logic
We explain how scores are calculated, how peers are normalized, and what's contributing to every comparison. Never an unexplained number.
Property-level privacy
Your property-level data is never exposed. Intelligence is derived from anonymized, aggregated datasets.
Industry-proven model
The same aggregation approach the hospitality industry has trusted for operational benchmarking for decades - applied to marketing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What data do I need to provide to participate?

Anonymized, aggregated marketing performance data covered under the Summit Data Products Addendum. Your property-level data is never individually visible in the benchmark.

How are peer cohorts defined?

By market, room count band, property type, and segment - with options to apply quick presets or customize filters for more specific comparisons.

How is this different from what my agency already shows me?

Agency reporting shows your own campaign performance in isolation. Benchmarking shows how that performance compares to peer hotels - using market-normalized hospitality data your agency doesn't have access to.

How often do benchmarks refresh?

Benchmarks refresh on a rolling basis as participating hotels contribute updated data. Cadence details are provided at onboarding.

What happens to my access in 2027?

Access transitions to subscription pricing. Hotels participating during the 2026 founding period receive preferred rates.

Is this only for GCommerce clients?

No. Any hotel or management company can access Benchmarking through the end of 2026 in exchange for benchmark participation under the Summit Data Products Addendum.
